** It's really ironic that I decided to participate in this today because I started this post this morning, and then went downstairs to let Dizzy inside and he was no where to be found. This girl FREAKED OUT. I went out the front, I went out the back and yelled and whistled.. and NOTHING. Icing on the cake was that I realized I'd taken his collar off last night.
There are no words to describe how absolutely hysterical I was! I started to drive around yelling for him and then realized my tank was almost empty so I rush to the gas station, tears streaming down my face to get like A gallon of gas because I couldn't waste anymore time. I called animal services and they hadn't picked up a boxer (mind you it'd be maybe all of 30 minutes!)
Buuuuuut, while I was on the phone with the woman, an ANGEL called in and said they had spotted a dark brown boxer running around Wedington - also known as HIGHWAY 16!!!!! Wedington and Broyles, which is a good half mile from my house, on the way to Kyle's. I was driving around in the neighborhood behind my house (eyes full of tears, crying so much I couldn't whistle) I immediately turned around and hauled ass down Wedingtond and saw my sweet, collarless, little brown boy on the corner of a major highway! I pulled onto Broyles street and yelled at him and his little ears perked up and he came straight to me when I stopped and opened the door.
I COLLAPSED on top of him in the passenger seat! I can only imagine what he was thinking... "Why is this woman getting me wet and making crazy noises and holding my face and talking gibberish into my nose??!!"
SO.... he's home safe... sleeping at my feet

perfectly content, I assume...
Dizzy is not fond of loud noises. My ONLY guess, is that he was frightened by the noises coming from the roofers just a few houses down. There were some smalls scratches on his belly and he was dirty... HOW he maneuvered under our gate is a miracle to me, but hope we don't have to worry about something like this again.
I'm so glad I still have a pup! I loooooooove him.
